In response to the request the town sent out an informational letter to more than 100 residents and held a public informational meeting July 26. The meeting drew approximately 60 residents. Some of the conditions included by the term developmental disabilities include autism, epilepsy, and head injuries. The application from the Living Resources Corporation was submitted July 11. The town has 40 days in which to take action. The town board was given a formal presentation on the plan by executives with Living Resources at Mondays board meeting. At the informational meeting last week in town hall, Living Resources CEO Fred Erlich explained that six adults are presently living in a company-owned group home in Saratoga Springs. The house, however, is no longer adequate for their needs.
